How a chance meeting with Brittany Watkins changed my life, part 2

Jimmy Davis here again.  I’m back with the part 2 of my story about how Brittany completely changed my life.  If you haven’t read the the first part, click here to read it.

So there I was back at home after my intensive sessions with Brittany…

The first thing that happened was I had an automatic reduction in all kinds of substances I was taking.

Here is a small list of things I was taking on a daily basis:

  • Caffeine
  • Nicotine (even though I was never a smoker)
  • Adderall (prescription focus drug)
  • Alcohol
  • Xanax
  • Ambien
  • Prescription anti depressants (Wellbutrin and Lexapro)

When I got home, something was different.  I still had the habits of taking those things daily, but the NEED to take them wasn’t there.  The “charge” was gone.

Every time I took something, it felt like it was too much.

Slowly, I started dropping things one by one.

I thought to myself that “Brittany’s technique must have been something like hypnosis.”  The funny part is, we didn’t use tapping to address any of those substances. They just seemed to fall away.

So I chalked it up to my own willpower.

The next thing however blew me away.

I went to the Doctor for a physical about 3 months after working with Brittany at that conference.  He simply asked me one question that made me almost fall out of my chair.

He said “Do you realize you have lost 28 pounds since you were in here 3 months ago?  Have you been trying to lose weight?

“No,” I said.

He asked me “Have you changed your diet?”

“I don’t think so…” I told him.

He then told me we would have to do some blood tests to figure out the sudden drop in weight.

As I thought about it, I realized I had changed my diet.  I realized I wasn’t attracted to the same types of food I normally was.

I didn’t know it at the time, but I was an Emotional Eater.  I always thought Emotional Eating was eating when you were “sad or depressed.”  But I learned from Brittany that we have so many different emotions.

I was eating whenever I was stressed or my anxiety creeped in.  Fact is, I was an emotional pharmaceutical drug user. I would take anything to change my emotional state, food just happened to be the MAIN one.

As I left his office and drove home a range of emotions were swirling in my head.  I couldn’t believe I had finally lost weight, especially WITHOUT EVEN TRYING.

You see, I have struggled to lose weight my entire life.  You name it I have done it.

Here is a small list of things I have tried:

Master Cleanse

Isagenix Cleanse (more than 10 times)

30 day juice cleanse.

I moved to Thousand Oaks, CA for 2 months for an in house bootcamp.

Had my meals delivered ($1500 a month)

Calorie counting apps.

Intense exercise for years.

Hired trainer after trainer

Tried every new hot supplement from every part of the rainforest.

HCG diet

HGH (ordered illegally of the internet).

Nothing really worked to keep the weight off.  I would always gain weight and then try something drastic to take it off.  This cycle kept going over and over.

So to finally lose weight WITHOUT TRYING was insane to me.

The more I thought about it on the car ride home I realized I haven’t been stressed or had any anxiety for the 3 months I had been home.

That was when I pulled the car over and called Brittany.

I flat out asked “What did you do to me?  How is it that I had tried EFT years ago and you can fix all these things where nothing has worked in the past?”

She gave me an analogy that I will never forget to this day.

She said “If you have a computer and it’s slow… Usually that just means there are lots of programs running in the background.  When you get rid of the programs, the computer runs how it was designed to.

Humans are the same way.  A lot of us have traumatic events that happen when we are younger and up to last week.  Your brain installs software (belief systems) based on these experiences. Usually they are not positive, so your subconscious installs these programs to protect you.

Once you get rid of those programs, you run how you are supposed to.”

(I'm a computer geek, so this explanation made perfect sense to me)

Another analogy I’ve heard her say is this: it's kind of like trying to drive a car on the freeway, but the whole time the parking brake is on… you’ll be moving forward, but it will be WAAAAY harder than it should be, smoke will be coming out of the car and the engine will be slowly shutting down.

If you have ever seen a cartoon where the character has a huge light bulb go off over their head, that’s what happened to me.

YEARS of frustration and endless suffering finally made sense.

I realized in that moment everything I had tried to fix was simply managing “symptoms” rather than to actual root cause.

It explained so much from my intense levels of anxiety, to my different fears.

It also explained why I was finally able to lose weight.  I got rid of the CAUSE instead of the SYMPTOMS.

She explained how you can take 2 people and put them on the same diet and exercise program.  1 will lose a bunch of weight and the other won’t…because one has all these programs running in the background.

It’s different for everybody.

There are programs causing you to hold on to extra weight, or have cravings, emotional eating, overeating, self sabotage etc, in ADDITION to anxiety or (insert ANY kind of suffering here).

I would always wonder to myself how some people could overcome certain things in their life while other people struggled intensely.  Now it made sense.

So in about 6 months after working Brittany:

I ended up losing almost 60 pounds.

I got rid of all of the substances I was taking.

I stopped eating emotionally.

I got rid of lifelong anxiety.

My energy levels SKYROCKETED.

I finally slept good again.

I was able to focus without any drugs.

I took on project after project in my business.

For the first time in my life, I FELT LIKE ME.  All of my relationships changed for the better. Everybody kept asking me questions like:  “You have changed so much, how did you do it?”

And I can’t explain it…

All I can is is “Some woman did magic on me.”

It’s just so hard to explain.  I try and try to explain the difference but it’s hard to really put into words.  I feel like I might break the keyboard, from typing so hard reliving my excitement.  I sometimes forget how bad it was.

From then on Brittany and I have been working together.  She helped me tremendously. I was able to in turn, show her how to reach more people with her business.

After working with her and seeing the transformations from her clients and students DAY after DAY, I came out of my own “mini retirement” to help get this work out there… so I became her business partner.

If you haven’t figured out by now, I’m like a person who had a religious experience out of nowhere and now I just want to spread the word.

So why am I writing all of this down in an email (super long) to you?

The honest to God truth is because I feel like these words can save somebody’s life.

If I didn’t have a lucky encounter with my mentor, I wouldn’t have the business I have now.

If I didn’t meet Brittany, I don’t even want to think where I would be.

I remember when I would be up late at night trying to figure out who I was.  Or where I was going. Or why can’t I fix myself. Or why can’t I just stick to my diet as easily as I could on day 2...  You get the picture.

It took a random chance encounter with Brittany for my life to be saved.  I didn’t believe a word out of her mouth.

It took a DARE for me to try it out.

As I partnered with her I saw first hand people who had previously given up all hope, come in and get completely transformed.

I remember when I first started working with her and she would take on clients for her Advanced program.  I WAS STILL SKEPTICAL. I remember telling her, “Why are you taking them on as clients? there is NO WAY they will improve.  You are stealing money from them.”

That’s when she told me something I will NEVER forget.  She said “Bring me the impossibles, bring me the unreasonables.”

Over time I would slowly see every single person who came in to her Advanced program have these amazing “Cinderella type” stories.  So I’ve learned to stop doubting her.

In fact if you would ask the average person who joins the Advanced program what are the top things they would want by the end of the program, their top 2 answers would be

  1. Weight Loss and
  2. Ending their emotional and binge eating.

The fascinating thing is when they finish the program, those things are down at the bottom of their favorite things they got.

They all get rid of their emotional eating (90% by the end of month 2) but so many other things happen:

  • Start new relationships
  • Get out of bad relationships
  • Start new businesses
  • Change or move up in their career
  • Get off medications like I did
  • Eliminate lifelong anxiety and depression
  • Truly discover who they are, a sense of knowing yourself
  • Release weight

So the reason I am writing you today is for 2 reasons:

  1. Maybe somebody out there needs to hear these words.  That there is hope. That maybe it is possible to feel like themselves again…or even a BETTER version.  Whenever I was at my darkest point, I always wanted somebody to relate to what I was going through. And if these words in this SUPER LONG email resonate with you I…
  2. Invite you to interview for our upcoming Think and Thin Advanced program. (There aren't any prerequisites to join, you just need to interview with me to see if you'd be a good fit)

In a couple days we will be enrolling people into the next round of the Think and Thin Advanced program.  As we were getting ready to start the process I was really present to how much I have grown over these past years with Brittany.

I was also present to who I was before I met her.  To be honest, I’m getting incredibly emotional as I’m finishing up this email.  So I asked her if I could write down some words. I thought maybe, somebody out there needs to hear what I have to say.

Maybe it’s you.

Maybe you have been struggling with weight or emotional eating your entire life.  Maybe you are suffering in a number of ways like I was.

I’m speaking to you if right now you are getting emotional at the thought of what could happen if you finally clear our ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that doesn’t serve you.

If you finally BECOME THE REAL YOU.

Who would you become?  What would your future look like?

Honestly think about that.

Most people can’t contemplate a future of what could be if they completely healed themselves.  I’m telling you it’s FU$%ING AMAZING.

Maybe you need drastic change in your life.

Maybe you don’t even know what your life would be like if it would change.

I’m here to tell you it’s worth it TO BECOME the real you…FINALLY.  It’s worth it to find out what your life is capable of with no blocks, no self sabotage, no doubt, no insecurity, NOTHING BUT YOU.

I know most people won’t really resonate with this message...they aren’t ready.   But some people will. They will feel an itch…a yearning that there is more to life than what they are currently experiencing.

Even if this moves, touches, or inspires one person…to me it’s worth it.

Because, I had NO IDEA who I could become at all.  It took a dare. I always would talk about how I was going to be great or make my mark on the world.  I would always speak about how I was trying to better myself. It wouldn’t have happened unless a young woman from San Francisco dared me.

So, if these words in this email stir something inside you,  then I recommend you apply for the Advanced program.

However, here is my disclaimer: The program is intense.

In all my years of coaching I’ve always used a saying: “If you look at your life, and everything that you have gotten that was worth having, in most instances you have had to step outside your comfort zone to get it.”

This is no different.

To become someone you aren’t, you have to do things you aren’t used to.

But I’m here to tell you: IT’S WORTH IT.

If you got accepted into the Think and Thin Advanced program and had a small glimpse of who you would become, you wouldn’t sleep for a week - OUT OF EXCITEMENT.

I honestly didn’t want anything to do with Brittany or her BULLSHIT method when we met.  It took her DARING ME to try it, and it was BY FAR the best thing that ever happened to me.

I always tell everybody my story.  It all started when a woman dared me to try something new.

I’ll always remember that moment.  It was MY TURNING POINT.

Hopefully for some people reading this - THIS WILL BE THEIR MOMENT.

In 6 month from now, when everybody is asking what caused your dramatic transformation will you tell them a stranger dared you over email?

So if you are still reading this, I personally DARE YOU to apply for this upcoming Think and Thin Advanced program.  Maybe, just maybe, this email will be the spark somebody needs, or it might save somebody’s life.

Is that you?

Just go here and schedule a call with me: - I DARE YOU.
