I found myself totally lost in all the fun
Many of you know about my love affair with wine :) Before I started the class, I set an intention to really focus on this. Tonight was a real test. We had a party and my BFF was here and we always drink wine together. Instead of telling myself I wouldn't have any, I told myself if i wanted it, I'd try some tapping. Well...I didn't end up having any and in the past, that would have meant that I obsessed about it the whole night. What amazed me tonight was that I found myself totally lost in all the fun I was having and didn't even think about the fact that I wasn't drinking wine. My body will be much happier waking up tomorrow with no wine in my system. - Maria

I didn’t eat any dessert and for the first time ever I did not feel bad about it, so that made me really happy! I looked at the desserts and they triggered no desire in me. This was the first time that I experienced that, recognizing that it was not worth eating the dessert because of how it would make me feel. - Jules
I felt like I was nurturing and caring for myself…
This morning my husband asked me to make chocolate chip cookies. It is more than 12 hours later and I have not eaten one, nope not even one and have no desire to eat one. Now that is unheard of, to be sure. At lunch I left food on my plate!!! How could I do that, with all the staving children in the world? I did not feel wasteful, I felt like I was nurturing and caring for myself. Leaving food on my plate has been nearly impossible for me to do and look at me today - I did it calmly and it was fully OK to do so. Hurray!!! – Nikki
It's been 7 days since I had any craving, yearning, or fantasies about bread!
I wanted to share good news with the group. I had a long-term relationship with bread! It has been my best friend since childhood. No matter what approach I took to reduce the cravings I was never able to reduce it! However last week, I allow myself to receive help from my buddy and boy did I feel an immediate shift. It's been 7 days since I had any craving, yearning, or fantasies about bread! I am extremely grateful to Brittany and her techniques. Additionally, I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with wonderful supportive people through this platform. Thank you! - Yari
I felt more in control and less affected by all the food…
Happy to report that I felt more in control and less affected by all the food last night. There was plenty, but I concentrated more on connecting with the people than the food. I didn't finish everything on my plate and threw the rest away with no qualms or guilt. I'm thankful to have the support from this program, as it really is helping me see why I make the choices that I do. Learning to embrace and honor the old me, but say goodbye and welcome the new. My mental relationship with food is SO different than when I first started!
My eating habits have changed SOOO much. No weight loss yet - but seriously, my mental relationship with food is SO different than when I first started! I've actually developed a DISTASTE for fast food - which is insane. I still get urges to grab food while I'm driving, but when I think about where to go, nothing ever sounds good so I just come home. I used to have snacking cravings all day every day, but now I only get them at night after dinner. I know I still have a lot of sabotage/anger work to do - that's going slowly but surely! It seems like I'm always the worst right after I tap, so I have gotten into a pattern of a few weeks on, a few off, so I'm not constantly acting crazy. It's seemed to help a lot - I didn't really see a lot of changes until I took a break. I am so grateful for you! - Anonymous
