Positive thinking and affirmations are BS, in my opinion. At least, that’s what I used to think… For many years, I tried using positive affirmations and visualization for weight loss, and it never worked. So I decided that they were just a bunch of BS and could never help me lose weight. And so, I dove deep into my subconscious mind to learn about my programming around food and my emotions. And eventually, that worked...which is why all of my classes are deeply rooted in clearing the underlying subconscious blocks that lead to extra weight.

But recently, this video reminded me of the power of the conscious mind...

...and how, by tapping into that power we can use it to make incredible changes with very little effort. I’ll be honest, from time to time I still pass the mirror and throw myself a little jab about a body part that’s “not perfect,” I’m sure you can relate...

But this video moved me so much that I decided to try a little experiment.

It’s made a huge difference. My body feels lighter, I’m less hungry, I’m happier, and when I do catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I’ve stopped throwing myself stabs. My thoughts are either neutral or positive!

So I challenge you to try the experiment with yourself for a week and let me know what happens for you...

[dropcap1]1[/dropcap1] In the morning, as soon as you open your eyes, take a few minutes to thank your body and each part (that you wish looked different) for carrying you through life. [dropcap1]2[/dropcap1] Visualize sending the words “I love you” and “thank you” up and down each limb of your body for a few minutes while you lay in bed. [dropcap1]3[/dropcap1] Keep doing this until you notice your body relax, or you take a deep breath...but no longer than a few minutes.
